Time Schedule and Program Content
Day 1- 8AM-6PM, Lunch 12-1 PM
8:00-8:30AM – Introductions
8:30-9:30AM- Review of history of trigger point dry needling
9:30-10:30AM- In-depth discussion of ”trigger point”, LTR, and research regarding needle manipulation
10:30-12:00PM- Review of OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen standards and requirements for dry needling
12:00-1:00PM- Lunch on your own
1:00-2:30PM-Ethics and documentation of dry needling, dry needling indications/contraindications/adverse effects
2:30-3:30PM- Performing the lower extremity and lumbar spine dry needling technique/LAB practice technique
3:30-6:00PM- Review lumbar spine anatomy, special precautions/procedures for dry needling the lumbar spine, LAB practice lumbar spine protocols
Day 2- 8AM-6PM, Lunch 12-1 PM
8:00-10:00 AM- Review of dry needling safety procedures, OSHA standards, and practice lumbar spine protocols
10:00AM-12:00 PM-Hip anatomy and protocols
12:00-1:00 PM- Lunch on your own
1:00-4:00 PM- LAB practice Hip protocols
4:00-4:30 PM- Knee anatomy and protocols
4:30-6:00PM- LAB practice knee protocols
Day 3- 8AM-5PM- No lunch break
8:00-10:00 AM- Review knee protocols, foot and ankle anatomy and protocols
10:00-12:00 PM- LAB practice lower extremity and foot and ankle protocols
12:00-4:00 PM- Check off on 1 lumbar, 1 hip, 1 knee, and 1 lower extremity foot and ankle protocol in lab competency exam
4:00-4:30 PM- Complete dry needling post-test
4:30-5:00 PM- Questions and review
PT and PTA
This course is currently approved for Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants.
Refunds
Full refunds minus credit card fees will be issued up to 30 days prior to the first course date minus transaction fees. A $50 cancellation fee will be charged for refunds less than 30 days from the course.
